Mukul Goyal is the Principal Designer and Director of Designwise India.
Mukul studied Engineering at IIT-Kanpur (1987), pursued Industrial Design at
National Institute of Design, Ahemdabad (1992), and then went to Domus
Academy, Milan (1996) to further his studies in design.
Mukul founded his own company Designwise India in 1998. This provided Mukul
with an opportunity to experiment and innovate products and techniques with
integrated design and manufacturing solutions for world markets.
Mukul has also worked to provide design intervention to traditional crafts
to give them a contemporary feel without compromising their innate essence
and appeal. His work with the craft of Dokra Casting or the Lost wax process
of casting has been extremely well received both in India and abroad.
His design label “Mukul Goyal” has met with unprecedented response since it
was launched in 2004. This is a selection of home objects designed by Mukul
Goyal.
His “TATTVA” brand of decorative curtain and home hardware has achieved the
distinction of being one of the most premium brands in curtain hardware
category in the country.
Mukul is today, at the forefront of Indian Design for homeware and
metalwares.
His work has been featured in various magazines and other media, winning
